Abstract Charlie Byrd (1925-1999) was an American guitarist known for performing jazz, Brazilian music, and classical music. He was based in Washington, D.C., and Annapolis, Maryland, for much of his career and performed globally, including on U.S. State Department tours to South America and India. Ellis Larkins was a jazz pianist from Baltimore who studied at the Peabody Conservatory and had an active professional career from the 1940s to the 1990s. His papers include photocopied scrapbooks about his career as well as original photographs, clippings, concert programs, correspondence, and recordings.
